A Soulful Celebration that Raised the roof of the Heavens’ (‘in a sense!’)

WOW - Buzzing still! What an Amazing Gig!

Last night was the Guildhall Jazz Choir Gig - where we performed a live recreation of Quincy Jones and Mervyn Warrens’ Grammy Award Winning Album’ “Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration”.

Performing as a small 10 piece Gospel Choir, with a well accomplished band. There were big Chorus and Full Band numbers, Storming Solo Songs and even a soley A cappella tune featuring special guest Jacqui Dankworth , the Take 6 and Stevie wonder tune from the album ‘ O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion” with a reduced size 6 voice group of the Choir - known outside as A cappella group“Vive”.

We had great review from Sebastian Scotney in the London Jazz Blog! which was very nice, and really appreciate his support!
